The civilian toll has risen following targeted attacks by the Pakistan Army on border villages along the Line of Control (LoC). The attacks, which involved heavy artillery and mortar fire, have resulted in the deaths of seven civilians and injuries to 38 others.

Local authorities reported that the shelling caused significant damage to homes and infrastructure, leaving many residents displaced and in need of assistance. Emergency response teams have been deployed to provide aid and evacuate the injured to medical facilities.

The Indian government has condemned the attacks, describing them as deliberate targeting of civilian populations. In response, Indian forces have reportedly engaged in retaliatory strikes against Pakistani positions along the LoC.

The international community has called for an immediate ceasefire and urged both India and Pakistan to engage in dialogue to address the underlying issues and prevent further loss of innocent lives.
